October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year Team Skeff decided to play our part in raising awareness (and some money, too).
It all came about when two of our employees submitted similar best practices to create t-shirts for our employees to wear every Friday in October. Of course, our Leadership Team thought this was a great idea and readily approved the best practices. We then put our Graphic Artists to work on a few different design options, and this was the winning design…
Team Skeff members signed up for t-shirts and paid $5 to be collected and donated to Come Together Let’s Walk, a local Decatur charity that contributes to the fight and research for breast, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
Our shirts were printed thanks to Enlightening Fashion in Danville (we like to spread the love to all our markets), and we distributed them to the team. Then last Friday, Team Skeff went out into the markets wearing their shirts, but first we had a Sales meeting and gathered the team together for a group photo.
We hope that by doing our part to raise awareness for breast cancer and to donate to the costs for research for a cure that we inspire those in our communities to do the same, so we can finally nip breast cancer in the Bud!
Cheers to all those who have lost the fight, who continue to fight, who fought and survived, and all those who fight alongside them against breast cancer! This Bud’s for you!
